Everything you need to measure accurately and order with confidence.
1. How to Measure for Blinds & Shades
Use a steel tape measure and record measurements to the nearest 1/8". Measure every window — even windows that look identical can vary by fractions of an inch.
- Measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the opening. Use the smallest width.
- Measure the height on the left, center, and right. Use the smallest height.
- Round down to the nearest 1/8".
- Enter your exact measurements in the product configurator — we make the product to the size you submit.
2. Inside Mount vs. Outside Mount
Inside Mount
The shade fits inside the window frame. Measure the exact opening width and height. Provides a clean, built-in look and leaves sill and trim visible.
Outside Mount
The shade mounts above or outside the frame. Measure the area you want to cover, adding to width/height as needed for full coverage and light block.
3. How to Order on Our Site
- Log in (or create an account) to unlock your tier pricing.
- Pick a product and use the configurator to choose options and enter your exact width and height.
- Watch the live price update as you change options, then Add to Cart.
- Review your cart, then Checkout. Agree to the Terms of Service and choose your payment method.
- You'll receive an order confirmation by email.
4. Paying on Account vs. Card
Pay by Credit Card
Available to all logged-in customers. Pay securely online at checkout.
Charge to LB Account
Available only to customers with a verified LB account number. The order is submitted without card payment and invoiced per your account terms.
Orders containing a unit wider than 84" require a freight quote — use Submit Order for Quote and our team will follow up.
